Alienware makes some of the most powerful laptops on the market, and it's usually the first option for gamers who don't want to skimp on efficiency. However, Alienware didn't have much to offer those searching for AMD-powered laptops until now, with the release of the Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 laptop.
This is the first AMD-powered gaming laptop from Alienware in over a decade. In reality, the company hasn't released an AMD-based laptop since 2007, so this is a significant development. According to Alienware's website, the launch of this new laptop marks the beginning of a new chapter with AMD.
The Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 features a 15.6-inch display with a QHD 240Hz or FHD 360Hz panel option. AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series mobile processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30-series desktop GPUs are included in this laptop. User-upgradable 3200Mhz DDR4 memory is also included for the first time in an Alienware 15-inch notebook. Alienware also announced that the ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard with per-key RGB lighting would be available with the latest R5 laptop.
