Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Tablets are expected to be released in May, with Snapdragon SoCs and high-refresh-rate displays.

 

• Xiaomi is said to be working on a slew of new tablets to round out its product line. According to reports, the company is working on a number of new Mi Pad 5 tablets, including the Mi Pad 5 Lite, Mi Pad 5 Plus, and Mi Pad 5 Pro. All of these devices are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and to be released in May. The Mi Pad 5 model's main specifications have also leaked online, with the Snapdragon 870 SoC and a massive 8,000mAh battery being rumoured.

• The phone will reportedly have an 8,000mAh battery and a skin similar to the Mi Mix folding screen. Handheld PC mode, dual-screen drag and drop, parallel screens, and other features may be included. The Mi Pad 5 is expected to have an 11-inch 2K LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. It will have a fingerprint sensor on the edge, and it could be released as early as May.

• There's also talk that the Mi Pad 5 will come in a variety of versions, including the Mi Pad 5 Lite, Mi Pad 5 Pro, and Mi Pad 5 Plus. The tablet codenamed Enuma and with the model number K81, according to famous tipster XiaomiUI, could be fuelled by the Snapdragon 870.

• Finally, the Mi Pad 5 Lite has the model number K82 and is said to be codenamed Nabu. It is expected to have a 12-megapixel main camera with no optical image stabilisation in the front sensor. The Snapdragon 860 SoC will power the phone, which could have a 12,400mAh battery. The tablets may also have quad rear cameras, NFC, and wireless charging, according to the source. They could have four speakers, dual-cell batteries, and a 120Hz display with a resolution of 2,560x800 and a peak brightness of 410 nits.
